Toni, a lifelong resident of Mississippi, has built a reputation as an election expert, having dedicated seven years to public service. Her commitment to advocating for voting and election reform has made her a steadfast grassroots agent of change in the state for over 12 years. With experience in campaign consulting, advocacy, and non-profit work, Toni has been at the forefront of the battle for necessary change. Driven by her personal experiences as a justice-affected woman of color in Mississippi, Toni established We Must Vote in 2022. This organization is poised to spearhead efforts in transforming civic engagement, advocacy and policy.

Meet Akori Pickett, our dynamic Communications Associate. Currently a high school senior, Akori is a creative force with a passion for photography, graphics, and all things visual. As the mastermind behind our social media presence, she flawlessly navigates the worlds of photography and videography, bringing a fresh perspective to our content.

With her keen eye for aesthetics and innate storytelling ability, Akori not only captures moments but transforms them into compelling narratives. Her multifaceted skills extend beyond the lens, making her an invaluable asset in shaping our brand identity.

In her final year of high school, Akori is already setting her sights on the next chapter. She plans to attend college, where she undoubtedly will continue to leave her mark on the world of communications and visual storytelling. Watch out for Akori Pickett - a rising star in the making!
